Melvyn Wright, known by family and friends, as Mel, Mle Model Mel, Mellow Mel, and Kaiser. Raised in Denver, Colorado, he attended, Manual High School and participated in Sports, basketball, football and lettered in both. He’s currently involved with the Manual T-Bolt Alumni Nation, an Alumni group, whose focus is to inspire, educate and give back, to the youth and the community of Denver.
He studied communications and attended Ron Bailey School of Broadcasting, early on in his career, which was a springboard to his true calling, acting and entertainment. He has continued to perfect his crafts, by taking, drama classes, acting seminars and workshops.
As a former Ebony male model, he has been in the entertainment industry for over 30 years as a, Actor, Writer, Model and has been a member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and, American Federation of Television and Radio Artist (AFTRA) since 1984. He has worked in print ads, music videos, performed on the runway, numerous commercials, and voice overs, while living in Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, and Los Angeles. He’s currently working, on his first screen play, a murder mystery drama.
His aspiration is to continue in the entertainment field, while adding podcasting to his resume. He created, the Wright Spot Podcast, Where Talk is Free. An innovative, Imaginative and Real talk platform. He’s entering, into the podcast industry at a time, when engaging into serious discussions with the public and society is definitely needed.
